Northrop Grumman’s philanthropic initiatives focus on building meaningful partnerships that transform our communities. Working with our dynamic partners, we strive to support the diverse needs of the communities where we live and work through giving from the company, the Northrop Grumman Foundation and employees. Our core areas of focus include STEM education, military and veterans, health and human services, and the environment.

Company Giving

Our corporate contributions support accredited public schools and 501(c )(3) nonprofits within our areas of focus. These partnerships align with our strategic priorities which include education, culture, reputation and communities.

Education

Our education strategy places top priority on workforce readiness for students who are underserved in STEM and provides educators with professional development resources.

Supporting Our Military and Veterans

Serving those who serve is also a key area of our company giving. We assist military, veterans and their families through initiatives dedicated to supporting work force transition, homelessness eradication, appreciation, and those who are wounded, ill or injured.

The Northrop Grumman Foundation

The Northrop Grumman Foundation is dedicated to increasing STEM educational opportunities for students so they can fill future workforce needs for talented and diverse professionals. Our education strategy focuses on supporting engineering and technology-based programs and initiatives, primarily focused on middle school through university students, that increase workforce readiness with an emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Additionally, we support our employee’s contributions to qualified educational institutions through the Northrop Grumman Foundation Matching Gifts for Education program.

Employees Charity Organization of Northrop Grumman (ECHO)

Through the Employees Charity Organization of Northrop Grumman (ECHO), employees have the ability to make turnkey payroll contributions to qualifying charities and schools of their choice. In addition, ECHO accepts grant requests from organizations within participating communities and provides grants to selected organizations through employee funded Community Outreach Funds.
