SSSD has an opening for a Principal or Senior Principal Finance & Accounting Analyst on a growing financial team within Advanced Mission Programs (AMP). The Principal or Senior Principal Finance & Accounting Analyst will report to the Manager of Financial Integration and will be responsible for supporting the billing of AMP.

*This role may be filled as a level 3 or level 4.

This position requires a Department of Defense (DoD) active Top Secret (TS) security clearance or access to Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead timely and accurate invoicing of program cost through strong collaboration with Accounting and Program Office teams
  • Pro-actively identify and resolve billing issues
  • Communicate to Business Unit (BU) Leadership and Finance team on invoice status and cash collection
  • Perform ad-hoc cost analysis
  • Direct impact on key financial metric (Cash) performance for BU
  • Collaborative work style: ability to interface with different functions and levels of leadership
  • Operate in a dynamic environment with competing priorities, while maintaining attention to detail with little supervision
  • Option to participate in development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) through collaboration with Business and Program Management

Basic Qualifications for level 3

  • Active TS Clearance and/or SCI Access
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ experience in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics (or related field) – OR – Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience
  • High proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Excel

Basic Qualifications for level 4

  • Active TS Clearance and/or SCI Access
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 9 years’ experience in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics (or related field) – OR – Master’s Degree with 7 years of experience
  • High proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cost accounting, billing, AP/AR research
  • Experience with SAP
  • Prior experience in the aerospace & defense industry
  • Analytical; makes recommendations using acquired data and experience
  • Detail and results oriented; ability to deliver timely and accurate results under time sensitive conditions
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Understanding of government cost accounting standards

Salary Range: $83,800 USD - $125,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $94,500 USD - $141,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
