Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector’s Networked Information Systems (NIS) Division is seeking a Business Manager 1. This position will support several Cost Plus development programs in the Transformational Computing Operating Unit. This Business Manager will partner with the program managers across various Transformational Computing programs to manage all financials to achieve the organization’s financial and strategic objectives and will report to the OU Business Manager.

This position will be located in Annapolis Junction, MD and is full time on site.

Selected external candidate holding a current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph may qualify for a $10K sign on bonus.  

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Successful execution of program financial performance, including tracking and management of customer funds, cost performance, and cash management
  • Estimate-at-Complete (EAC) preparation and review
  • Support of pricing and proposal activities
  • Management and development of Program Control Analyst (PCA) staff. This includes the support of training of PCAs
  • Preparation and presentation of financial data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecasts
  • Deliver predictable financial performance for monthly and quarterly forecasts as well as against annual operating plan targets.
  • Internal and External support of compliance audits
  • On-going collaboration with the customer and functional teams
  • Assistance with contract negotiations
  • NCTA & Capital Management and Reporting

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience in finance, accounting or program control - OR - a Master's degree 3 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Understanding of DOD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR
  • Earned Value Proficiency including the Earned Value Guidelines
  • Prior experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and/or management.
  • Willingness to work on-site on a full time basis
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Industry related experience
  • Prior experience with government program budgeting and forecasting, as well as Annual Operating Plan development
  • Experience with SAP, and Business Warehouse (BW), and Cognos financial software
  • Current, active US Top Secret/SCI level security clearance with Polygraph

Salary Range: $101,800 USD - $152,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
