Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Risk Management Analyst/Principal Risk Management Analyst. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.

What You’ll Get To Do:

This position develops, implements, and administers company casualty and property-loss insurance programs. Analyzes and defines potential loss areas and determines appropriate type and level of loss protection to be insured. For self-insured companies, develops loss forecasts to monitor/establish accruals for self-insured retention. Prepares specifications for broker or underwriter bids, evaluates bids, and recommends or concludes insurance contracts. Submits claims and monitors payments. Participates in appraisal and adjustment proceedings. Develops and coordinates risk control programs to prevent losses and reduce premiums. May manage self-insured or wholly-owned insurance subsidiary. May administer workers compensation insurance program. May perform accounting and risk finance related to this function.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will act as an IPT Risk Manager, oversees and manages the operational aspects of Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) Management.

  • Integrates with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to help Identify RIO items within their Statement of Work (SOW) responsibility, including any potential Intercompany Work Orders (IWOs) and Suppliers.  

  • Act as a liaison to ensure high quality inputs and adherence to relative program toolsets and processes.

  • Supports the IPT in all levels of RIO Boards including Program Management and Customer Reviews.

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports. Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develops mechanisms for managing and monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, IPTs, and functional management.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Basic Qualifications:

  • Risk Management Analyst: 3 years with Bachelors; 1 years with Masters; or 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • Principal Risk Mgmt Analyst: 6 years with Bachelors; 4 years with Masters; or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Secret level clearance with the ability to obtain SAP clearance.

  • Experience supporting DOD Programs.

  • Experience presenting to upper level management.

  • Proficient on MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced in Risk Management Processes and Toolsets.

  • PMP Certification.

  • Background in Leading teams.

  • Currently GBSD Accessed.

  • Current DoD Top Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: $58,800 USD - $88,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $72,400 USD - $108,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
