Contingent upon the award of a major program, Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Contract Administrator to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting its Space Sector Contracts Operations. This is a unique opportunity to build experience, mentoring relationships and career growth by contributing to the Contracts role from the Sector level. This position is in Dulles, VA, with a highly flexible, hybrid work schedule.

Upon award, the Contract Administrator will produce high quality Contract Management related products supporting the NGSP Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) Space Security Systems (SPS) programs. TSSD also provides all employees with a 9/80 work schedule, allowing for every other Friday off...and NG Benefits always begin on day-one!

This position requires a strong background in DOD contracting, excellent communication skills, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

The Senior Principal Contract Administrator will be required to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks. The Contract Administrator must possess the ability to work well with others in high-stress high-volume situations, effectively interface with internal functional and program organizations, effectively deal with external customers, and meet the goals/objectives of the SPS business unit.

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Contract Administrator:

  • Candidate should have at least 10 years of contract management experience with a bachelor's degree, or 8 years of experience with a master's degree
  • Strong technical contracts background to include proposal development and negotiation skills
  • Experience building and developing high-performing teams that will achieve success through a strong culture of early engagement, internal collaboration and critical thinking
  • Ability to lead meetings with government regulatory organizations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and UCC as well as experience with different contract types
  • Experience leading teams, including cross-functional/cross-organization teams.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI-level Clearance
  • Experience supporting ECPs and REAs
  • NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM)
  • Contract Closeout Experience
  • Government Property Management experience

Salary Range: $103,900 USD - $155,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
