Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Billing Specialist, Pathways Program. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Headquarters in McLean, VA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Business Management Pathways Program. The Pathways Program combines work experience with training and networking opportunities to foster technical and leadership development. As a program participant, you will complete a rotation based curriculum to develop competencies in a variety of specializations across our business management functions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepares, and submits customer billings in compliance with contract terms and conditions, department policies/procedures, external regulations and SOX controls
  • Uses the SAP financial system to create invoices for Government, Commercial and International Customers
  • Represents the NGDS Billing Team in contract kickoff meetings while serving as the Billing point of contact for all AR setup questions
  • Participates in miscellaneous accounts receivable reporting and resolution of invoice payment issues
  • Supports monthly cash collection and forecasting goals while providing input to DS Business Management for AR billed/unbilled reviews
  • Works hand-in-hand with internal and external customers involving any invoice-related AR questions
  • Supports DCAA incurred costs and billing audits as needed
  • Participates in month-end AR metrics reporting and any other special projects as needed Collaborates with Program Control, Contracts and External customers as necessary to resolve billing issues

Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be completing Finance or Business bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • Must be able to work on-site in McLean, Virginia
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7/4.0 or higher
  • Knowledge of SAP - Government Contracting Experience
  • Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills
  • The ability to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines

Salary Range

$56,300 - $84,500

Salary Range: $1 USD - $1 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
