Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Media Services Manager to provide leadership to our Communications & Media Services team in our Bacchus UT office.

The Media Services Manager is responsible for leading the Bacchus team in the creation of world-class videos and photos to promote our products, educate our customers and elevate employee morale, as well as provide superior print shop support. This individual will have opportunities to perform creative graphic design work or photographic support while coordinating with the Promontory UT Print Shop Manager to ensure team members deliver products of the highest quality on time.

Roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Supervising Bacchus team.
  • Supervising graphic artists/Print shops at Bacchus and Promontory.
  • Providing instructions, making assignments and assisting the team in delivering quality products on time to internal and external customers.
  • Setting clear expectations for style and quality of work.
  • Establishing and enforcing standards for proper storage and documentation of acquired footage for use by other team members.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinating with the Promontory UT print shop manager to ensure printing deadlines across both plants are met.
  • Creating and overseeing proposal and other requested graphics, posters, etc.
  • Setting clear expectations for style and quality of work and ensuring adherence to brand standards.
  • Training and mentoring new employees within area of responsibility.
  • Participating on the Communications and Media Services leadership team to ensure the various teams are working together to deliver products that exceed customer expectations.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

Our team is responsible for all internal and external communications activities supporting the Launch and Missile Defense Systems Division (LMDS) division of Northrop Grumman’s Space system sector, including:

  • Thought Leadership
  • Editorial & Content Production
  • Proposal Design & Content

  • The On-Site Space Exhibit

The candidate must have exceptional project management skills, a positive attitude and demeanor, and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues across the Northrop Grumman enterprise.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Communications/Creative field and 6+ years of combined experience in any of the following: Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or Journalism, or closely related experience – OR – Master’s degree and at least 4+ years of communications, public relations, or closely related experience.  An additional four years’ experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in managing diverse teams at various locations.
  • Graphic design or photographic experience.
  • Strong team player with solid leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of Northrop Grumman’s programs and products.
  • One or more years of direct supervisory/management experience.
  • Experience with managing budgets and with the procurement process.

Salary Range: $85,400 USD - $128,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
