Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for multiple systems on the F-35 Lightning II. As the OEM, Northrop Grumman has an obligation to provide data and advice to Lockheed Martin, the Joint Program Office (JPO) and 81 Wing to ensure that these systems are being managed effectively and support is provided.

Your role:

Integrated within the F-35 Lighting II program team, you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) with the ability to troubleshoot, analyse, and recommend solutions to the Australian Defence Force.

Reporting to Northrop Grumman Defense Systems - US, your role will be embedded as our Program Field Support Engineer based at RAAF Base Williamstown.

Supported by Northrop Grumman Corporation (US) and Northrop Grumman Australia you will play an integral role in supporting the Joint Strike Fighter Program team in ensuring sovereign capability needs are met.

You will be responsible for supporting the Squadron in ensuring availability of aircraft and related support equipment along with maintaining a collaborative working relationship with the Commonwealth and other stakeholders

About you:

You will bring a high level of passion and drive for the Aviation and Aerospace industry along with a dedication to continued personal and professional growth.

Having had extensive experience across Defence aviation, you will ideally have had previous experience supporting F-35 platform or similar Air Combat aircraft, support equipment along with a strong technical understanding and knowledge of engineering principles and reporting metrics.

In supporting operational readiness, you will be available to deploy with Australian Defence personnel across various exercises both nationally and internationally to provide technical support to the maintenance teams.
