We are looking for you to join our team as a Senior DevOps Engineer based out of San Diego, Ca. As a DevOps at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What you'll get to do

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be supporting the SNAP Department (Strategic Networks, Applications, and Products).  Our team focuses on Network Solutions, and supports a variety of technologies across our three departments; C3 Solutions, Strategic Networks, and Small Form Factors. C3 Solutions, specializes in Tactical Data Link processors, emulators, and simulators.  Our Strategic Networks team builds solutions to defending our country's nuclear assets.  And lastly, our Small Form Factors Department brings SWaP optimized solutions (Crypto, SDRs, Space Networks) to new domains, bridging us into Space, Weapons, and more.  This position will be located in the beautiful city of San Diego, CA, at one of our two locations; Rancho Carmel, or Kearny Mesa. 

Essential Functions:

  • Overseeing and participating in the development of the architecture and software for distributed services and user interfaces running in a multi-language, multi-OS, virtualized enterprise
  • Involved in the evolution of the current design to advance the enterprise into a cloud-enabled architecture (e.g. containerization)
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as Systems Engineering, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test in an Agile software development environment

This position will require onsite work however for this role we are able to offer flexible work arrangements and some remote work will be possible.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in STEM field; or 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters; an additional 4 years of relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
  • DevOps Pipeline implementation experience
  • Linux experience
  • Clearance: Candidate must currently have an active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in System Administration or Network Administration
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with GitLab
  • Experience with Ansible and/or Nexus
  • Security+ certification

Salary Range: $129,700 USD - $194,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
