Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is searching for Senior Principal Engineer Software to join our Manned Air Systems DEVOPS and Cloud Infrastructure Team located in Melbourne FL.

The selected candidates must have the following skills and abilities:
DevOps Engineer responsible for designing and managing the Cloud infrastructure. Duties include deploying product updates, setting up software factory, virtual machines, containers, and orchestration. The role will have a large impact on team productivity and as such requires an understanding of the software development lifecycle and various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/CD pipelines).


•    Manage the Azure cloud infrastructure tools and data
•    Manage and improve container orchestration and deployment strategies
•    Develop tools to manage continuous integration, software stack support, code quality and coverage
•    Ensure and develop tools for monitoring security, privacy, and integrity of data and other resources
•    Setup an overall Cloud-native Software Factory

Basic Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12+ years of experience in software engineering OR
•    Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9+ years of experience in software engineering
•    Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain Program Access is required
•    Experience developing software with C/C++/Python/Java
•    Experience with tools/technologies in a DevOps Environment (e.g. Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab, Confluence, Docker)
•    Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
•    Must be able to attain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
•    Must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Programs (SAP)
•    Experience with Cloud Infrastructure, Development, and Administration
•    Experience with Infrastructure As Code SW tools and Resource Management in Cloud Computing Services  
•    Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Container Strategies and Orchestration
•    Experience working with repository/artifact management and Build Integration Support
•    Proactive and assertive in driving solutions/solving issues

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience working within an Agile environment
•    Proficiency with Cloud Technology (Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud Metrics Tools)
•    Program Access
•    Experience with scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
•    Experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure, Development, and Administration
•    Experience with Terraform and Azure Resource Manager
•    Experience working with Artifactory

Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
