Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services has an opening for a Software Engineer  to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.

The selected candidate will support a classified program through the development, modification, and maintenance of custom software tools designed to meet sector customer needs.  This role will collaborate with multiple functional areas to troubleshoot issues, deliver scalable software solutions, and influence IT standards.

Additionally duties include:

  • Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

  • Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

  • Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2-years of experience in software engineering OR a Master’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university

  • Experience developing software/writing code in C# or C++

  • Experience with ASP .NET MVC, .NET Framework, and/or Entity Framework

  • Experience with CSS classes and styling, HTML, and JavaScript

  • Knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL language

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret level clearance, with the ability to obtain (and maintain) special program access (PAR)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ASP .Net Core

  • Experience with Telerik controls for ASP .Net Core/MVC and KendoUI

  • Experience with REST and Web API technologies

  • Experience with Code Reviews and Code Standards/Guidelines

  • Knowledge of Unit Testing Methodology

  • Knowledge of AzureDevOps/TFS capabilities such as build and release pipelines, work item management and process flow

  • Current special program access (PAR)

  • DoD 8570 certification, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar network/security certifications

  • Active DoD security clearance

This position reports to Melbourne, FL, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Unknown City, FL, FL, USA.

Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
