Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for an Industrial Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Warner Robins, GA

The Industrial Engineer will be an integral part of day to day operations and routinely works alongside many of the other organizations here in Warner Robins. This is a team that comes together to learn, collaborate, and overcome challenges in a fast paced environment. We are looking for applicants that enjoy working with and learning from their peers and are not afraid to jump in and make a difference!
 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently

  • Builds scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints

  • Develops optimized scheduling tools and aligns SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraints

  • Incorporates complex interdependencies within a system to account for the interaction of multiple cost centers, programs, equipment, and tools

  • Communicates requirements planning and systems framework with IT, ERP, business analytics, and data science teams

  • Works with developers to design an interactive user interface that will be effective at scheduling jobs across cost centers

  • Guides digital transformation efforts to align with sector and enterprise strategies

  • Leads and drives positive change using iterative and agile methodologies

  • Creates new metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performance

**This position may be field at a Level 1 (Associate) or Level 2.
 

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Industrial Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering OR a HS Diploma/GED and 4 years of related experience in Industrial Engineering role

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

  • MRP/MES experience.

  • Strong expertise using excel, including macros, data mining, and pivot tables.

  • Experience with data mining, data analysis, or data visualization software applications.

Basic Qualifications for an Industrial Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering and 2 years of related experience in Industrial Engineering role; Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering OR HS Diploma/GED and 6 years of related experience in Industrial Engineering role may be accepted in lieu of degree.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

  • MRP/MES experience.

  • Strong expertise using excel, including macros, data mining, and pivot tables.

  • Experience with data mining, data analysis, or data visualization software applications.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering

Salary Range: $53,500 USD - $80,300 USD
Salary Range 2: $64,600 USD - $97,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
