NG is seeking a full-time, experienced engineer to support integration of Army dismounted and mounted sensor systems through existing and next-generation tactical networking capabilities. As part of a diverse team, this engineer will work to increase Situational Awareness to the Warfighter through increasing data sharing capability and analysis on the battlefield.

The job will include analysis of sensor system interfaces and data products, determining methods of encoding sensor data into standard formats, and creating interface systems between sensors and radio systems. Through rapid prototyping and test events, the candidate will work with a diverse team to demonstrate this capability to new platforms and networks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM Degree) with a minimum of 9 years of applicable experience with a BS or 7 years with a MS

  • Have a solid understanding of IP networks

  • Experience with line-of-sight military radio systems and waveforms such as TSM-X

  • Experience integrating tactical data links and/or sensors on military platforms

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Secret Security Clearance

  • Experience with Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI), COMSEC, and common fill devices

  • Experience with Blue Force Tracking systems

  • Experience with Nett Warrior / Tactical Assault Kit (TAK)

  • Experience with IP-enabled US Army radio systems such as the PRC-117G, PRC-158, and PRC-163

  • Familiar with Cross Domain Solutions

  • Familiar with US Army ground vehicle sensors and systems

  • Familiar with 5G cellular technology

Salary Range: $108,600 USD - $163,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
