This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Annapolis, MD.The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Naval & Oceanic business unit at Annapolis, Maryland.This position tasking includes concept development, problem solving, technical planning, design development and integration & testing of undersea hardware. The applicant will translate customer requirements into systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Basic Qualifications: A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
  • Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution
  • Be majoring in or having majored in a Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Ocean Engineering degree
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile). 
  • Ability to work on site at Annapolis, MD campus
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
  • Experience with undersea systems, Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV), Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs)
  • Proficiency in using common engineering design, production, and office tools
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance
Pay Range:59,100.00 - 88,700.00At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.campusjobs

Salary Range: $59,100 USD - $88,700 USD
Salary Range 2: $71,500 USD - $107,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
