Our Defense Systems Sector is seeking an Engineer Systems Test or Principal Engineer Systems Test to join our high caliber team at Whiteman AFB, Missouri, the only operational base of the B-2 Stealth Bomber. As a part of the Lifecycle Sustainment and Modernization Solutions (LSMS) organization, the team installs capability upgrades on the B-2 and supports the Air Force customer’s B-2 Operations, Maintenance and Logistics efforts.

Position Description:

As a systems test engineer, you will work with a highly experienced team to develop an unparalleled understanding of aircraft systems, subsystems and integration. You will be responsible for evaluating modifications to the aircraft and determining test procedures to verify system operation per contractual requirements. You will coordinate integrated testing activities with the mod team and provide direction for troubleshooting any issues identified during testing.

You may also be tasked to provide direct technical support to B-2 pilots and maintainers. You’ll work closely with Air Force members, researching issues and answering technical questions about aircraft capabilities and systems, to ensure the proper maintenance and operations of the aircraft. This may include assisting with troubleshooting anomalies and recommending clarification or correction of technical data.

This position may require occasional shift work and extended hours. Work hours may have to shift to support testing requirements and meet aircraft delivery timelines. This position requires a security clearance. An active clearance is preferred, but a clearance request will be submitted for the selected candidate if necessary. The nature of this position requires individuals to be comfortable working in a classified environment; cell phones or personal electronic devices are prohibited within these areas.

This position may be filled at either the Engineer Systems Test or Principal Engineer Systems Test level.

Basic qualifications:

  • For Engineer Systems Test: Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline from an accredited university with at least two (2) years of aerospace industry experience; or zero (0) years of experience with Master’s Degree in STEM
  • For Principal Engineer Systems Test: Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline from an accredited university with five (5) years of aerospace industry experience; or Master’s Degree in STEM with three (3) years of aerospace industry experience; OR a PhD with 0 years of experience.
  • Be able to obtain a U. S. Government security clearance (U. S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
  • Ability to obtain Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or specialization in Electrical or Electronics
  • Experience in flight data analysis including performance data
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 communication protocol
  • Experience in test and evaluation
  • Experience with flight test activities
  • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience with digital signal processing
  • Experience running RF test equipment, including signal generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Previous experience with radar waveforms, Electronic Support (ES), and/or Electronic Attack (EA) subsystems.
  • Basic understanding of or experience with MATLAB, AFSIM, SDK or equivalent software tools
  • Experience working with weapons and payload systems
  • Experience working with radar systems
  • Knowledge of governing standards to include MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760 and MIL-STD-6016
  • Knowledgeable in IFC development processes
  • Experience with HF/UHF/VHF Communications
  • Experience in System Timing of Complex Systems


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
