We are looking for you to join our team as a Staff Systems Engineer in Buffalo, New York. As a Staff Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on complex electronic warfare simulators alongside multi-disciplinary teams. We are looking for a passionate, driven, and goal-oriented individual to lead technical teams through all facets of our programs, from proposals, requirements definition and top-level system designs, to customer meetings, system integrations and deliveries. All to support the safe return of our country’s warfighters.

What You’ll get to Do:

  • Lead the Engineering endeavor across many cross-functional disciplines to ensure that each program’s system description, requirements, and design are properly and thoroughly defined and captured.
  • Generate and maintain system and sub-system level specifications in DOORS
  • Create Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRM).
  • Verification traceability (tracing requirements to test plans/procedures/results).
  • Create or drive Model Based System Engineering products, trade studies, and other functional or technical analyses.
  • Own and manage technical risks, schedules, and execution budgets

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Engineering, or related STEM degree and a minimum of 14 years related experience or a MS Degree in Engineering or related STEM degree and a minimum of 12 years of related experience.
  • Experience leading technical teams
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal management, customers, and vendors. Must also be able to conduct presentations and provide status to large groups.
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) secret security clearance at a minimum

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DOORS requirements management tool.
  • Experience with and/or understanding of Electronic Warfare equipment
  • Cost Account Management experience
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance

Salary Range: $146,300 USD - $219,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
