Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Engineer S/W (T03) Software Architect for the Computer Systems & Software Architecture Model (CSSAM).  This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the GBSD program.  The CSSAM is the software architecture & design model (model-based engineering) for the GBSD weapons systems software.  This opening is for a CSSAM Software Architecture to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

What you'll get to do:
• This role includes developing software engineering products and modeling governance from Preliminary Design phase to a Critical Design Review and beyond.
• Individual will be responsible for developing the CSSAM and Unified Modeling Language (UML) governance and guidance to a large, distributed software team developing the software design and capabilities for the GBSD program.
• Individual will be a point of contact (POC) to the US Air Force (USAF) Software Architecture Office (SAO) and supporting organizations for the development activities for the CSSAM.
• This role involves collaboration and responsibility across multiple organizations to ensure the CSSAM Software Architecture & Design products successfully meet key program milestone objectives, software deliverables, and the statement of work.
• This role involves working with various certification authorities (e.g. Nuclear Surety, Cybersecurity, Safety) to ensure the CSSAM Software Architecture & Design products support key program certification reviews.
• Individual will develop software tools & scripts for automating software model validation and synchronization across multiple authoritative sources of truth (ASoT) artifacts
• Individual will be responsible for developing tools for validating CSSAM Software Architecture & Design products meet CSSAM model governance rules and properly flow-down from systems engineering products to the software design and implementation
• Individual will have the opportunity of working in a team in a highly dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical field and a minimum 5 years of relevant experience with or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree ; 3 Years with Masters
• Hands on software engineering, design, and development experience.
• Demonstrated experience with MBE having implemented software architecture and design definition using such tools as MagicDraw (Cameo Enterprise Architect), IBM Rhapsody, etc.
• Active Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain Special Access Program.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•    Experience with development of software automation capabilities.
•    Proven ability to interface to customer representatives.
•    Special Access Program


Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
