Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Test Engineer.  This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel – Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What Youll Get To Do: 

The selected candidate will join the Air Vehicle (AVE) Integration and Test Team to plan vehicle level integration and test activities.  This will include activities to test and checkout the AVE in preparation for GBSD ground and flight testing.

Candidate will:
•    Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints
•    Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test, test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems
•    Coordinates integrated testing activities
•    Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program
•    Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations
•    May interface with Air Force customer
•    Provide mentorship to up and coming engineering talent

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80.  The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.  This position will be located in Roy, Utah.  Candidate will be required to travel up to Promontory, UT 25% of the time; this includes supporting major test events.

Youll Bring These Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree and 9 years of System Test experience; or 7 Years with Masters; or 4 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

•   US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)

•    Experience with system design, integration and test
•    Previous test experience at any level of build (unit, element, segment, system)
•    Working knowledge of system integration and test principles and test plan development to include functional testing and checkout
•    Experience with data collection/instrumentation methods
•    Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot anomalous hardware and software

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

•    Bachelor's of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree

•    US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)

•    Works well in a team environment
•    Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform professional tasks

•    Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills

•    Working knowledge of test planning and test execution
•    Experience in design of test cables, test sets and support equipment
•    Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in CAMEO software and DOORS software is a plus
•    Working Knowledge of AGILE (Atlassian Suite) in a Test Environment is a plus
•    Experience working with Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) a plus
