Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking to add a Horizontal Integration Lead Sr. Manager 3 to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This leadership role will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. Learn more about the Sentinel program here.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:

The selected candidate for this role will lead a team of Guidance, Navigation & Control (GN&C) engineers who will continue to mature the Guidance System’s Guidance Computer from Preliminary Design phase to a Critical Design Review and beyond.

The role involves day to day management of the Guidance Computer team. The individual must be capable of leading a team in a highly dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities. The individual must be able to communicate effectively with upper management and customer. This position reports directly to the GC sub- IPT Lead.

These positions will have a standard work schedule of 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM-related field of study and 8 years of experience, Master’s Degree and 6 years of experience.
  • 3 years of formal management experience to include performance reviews for direct reports
  • 2 years of experience taking a system through a major design review and development.
  • 2 years of experience working in an Agile team or even leading a scrum team
  • 2 years of experience with program control (IMS, EVMS), budgeting, and staffing
  • Active Secret Clearance Adjudicated within the last 5 years
  • Ability to gain Special Access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TS clearance preferred
  • Success taking a GN&C system through a major design review
  • Familiarity in working multiple colors of money in parallel (Direct, NCTA, Capital)
  • Understanding of verification and validation principles of MS&A work products
  • Drive process rigor and ensure compliance to meet company, program and security requirements
  • Effective leadership and management skills
  • Experience managing and integrating the activities of large diverse teams to include subcontractors and suppliers

Salary Range: $14,770 USD - $221,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
