Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Support Equipment Systems Engineer MBSE Matter Expert. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.

What you’ll get to do:

The selected candidate will be the Support Segment Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) System Engineer Subject Matter Expert supporting the Systems Architecture development using MBSE concepts.

The Support Segment System Engineer will work with the program engineers to drive MBSE governance development within the Sentinel program to apply concepts and practices to Support Equipment.

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for Support Equipment
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of support equipment product lifecycle to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into support equipment and total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into support equipment specifications
  • Develops Architectural framework products using CAMEO MBSE product toolsets

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • A minimum of 14 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 12 years with a Master’s; or 9 years with PhD
  • U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret Security Clearance or higher and the ability to obtain Special Program Access
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Tools (Cameo, Magic Draw, Rhapsody or similar)
  • Experience with Requirements management tools (DOORS, for example)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Team Leadership of Model Based Systems Engineering projects on major defense programs
  • Deep knowledge of DODAF and SYSML architecture
  • Experience with and desire to mentor junior engineers
  • Experience with large scale aerospace/defense projects

Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
