Position Summary:

Interprets, recommends, and complies with environmental regulations and/or company policies.  Assists in planning and design of facility infrastructure and process to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.  Provides environmental guidance and support to facility personnel and functional areas. Writes and updates environmental manuals and procedures.  Prepares and submits permit applications, permit modifications, and permit renewals.  Interacts with regulators from various federal and state agencies.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities will focus primarily on, but not be limited to, assisting senior staff EHS engineers with day-to-day support of facility operations and ensuring regulatory compliance with wastewater treatment and discharge monitoring, drinking water production, and solid and hazardous waste management.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in STEM degree of study

Must be a US citizen

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Demonstrated ability to work independently and multi-task with strong facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related degree.

Two years' experience in an environmental-related field

General understanding of primary environmental laws and regulations [i.e., Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)]


Salary Range: $53,500 USD - $80,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
