Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Supply Chain Planning Specialist – Level 5 to join our team in Palmdale, CA. Be a part of a team of qualified, dedicated, and diverse professionals designing, developing, building, and supporting some of the world's most advanced products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Defines and develops warehouse and inventory strategies to meet Site/Program timelines and requirements.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and influencing the future course of storage and inventory management for AS Sites.
  • Leads long-term capacity analysis and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs.
  • Serves as consultant to management and external spokesperson for the organization on policies, plans, and objectives.
  • Acts as an advisor to senior management and customers by defining and developing storage and material handling strategy for implementation cross-functionally.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly present approaches and findings to senior leadership.
  • Supports proposal plans and writing assignments.
  • Implements and integrates scheduling systems and processes.
  • Leads Affordability Programs for all responsible sites
  • Operate company-owned vehicles to execute pick-up and delivery of parts between Northrop Grumman sites/buildings, and offsite locations at times. 
  • Any Ad Hoc projects assigned as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting).
  • Knowledge of SAP or other similar ERP/MRP system and experience with data sets including analyzing large data sets
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 15 years combined experience in warehousing, inventory management, MRP, Advanced Planning, Demand Planning, Forecasting, Logistics, or Project Management or a minimum of 13 years combined experience in warehousing, inventory management, MRP, Advanced Planning, Demand Planning, Forecasting, Logistics, or Project Management with a master’s degree
  • Will consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to perform 50% desk work and 50% production floor integration responsibilities with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company-owned vehicles (potentially in the dark at times)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently or as a team member
  • Current NGC Special Program Access
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • 2 years of previous experience leading teams or projects
  • Experienced communicator with ability to present information in an organized and effective manner to program and executive leadership
  • Strong ability to develop and present presentations to senior leadership
  • Experience with the SAP MRP system and Excel spreadsheets

Salary Range: $129,000 USD - $193,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
