Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems Sector is currently seeking a Material Requirement Planning Analyst (Level 3 or 4) to support our Clearfield, Utah location.

Essential Functions:

Analyzes manufacturing, enterprise resource planning, and other material requirements based on needs of assembly demands, component replenishments, substitute parts or materials, production set ups, engineering changes and enterprise supplies. Resolves schedule, material requirement or business system problems with cross-functional representatives. Approves part or material requisitions and initiates production and purchase change orders. Resolves master schedules and production problems and negotiates lead times.

This position may be filled at a level 3 or 4 based on the qualifications outlined below.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Establishment of a Formal Material Planning function
  • Manages MRP & ROP Signals for All Buy Parts and Services
  • Generates PRs for Buy Parts/Services for all Direct Programs
  • Coordinates Timing of Requisition Placement, Purchasing, Acceptance, and Routing of Materials based on Program Needs.
  • Manages Part Lead Times
  • Coordinates Program MBOMs w/ Engineering
  • Expedites Critical Materials w/ Procurement
  • Manages Material Issues w/ Procurement
  • Participates in Program IPT Meetings and Production Support Meetings
  • Statuses Production Control & Program IPTs of Material Issues
  • Ensures Materials meet Production Schedules
  • Controls Excess, Insufficient, or Deficient Materials. This may require Working with the Customer, Engineering, Program Manager, Buyers, Finance, Suppliers, or Other External Vendors.
  • Resolves Complex Materials Issues for Programs.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Material Requirements Planning Analyst (Level 3)

  • BA/BS in with 6 years related Experience or Masters with 4 years related Experience; or 10 years related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Access and other office information systems; possess an understanding of software engineering terminology
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing Principles and Applications
  • Knowledgeable in areas of Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering/Design.
  • Minimum of 5 years Material Control/Planning Experience Required.
  • Demonstrated Proficiency with ERP/MRP Systems (Deltek Costpoint and SAP experience preferred)
  • Supplier Scheduling (line of balance, level loading, Kanban, Lean, etc)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Senior Principal Material Requirements Planning Analyst (Level 4)

  • BA/BS in with 10 years related Experience or Masters with 8 years related Experience; or 14 years related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Access and other office information systems; possess an understanding of software engineering terminology
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing Principles and Applications
  • Knowledgeable in areas of Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering/Design.
  • Minimum of 5 years Material Control/Planning Experience Required.
  • Demonstrated Proficiency with ERP/MRP Systems (Deltek Costpoint and SAP experience preferred)
  • Supplier Scheduling (line of balance, level loading, Kanban, Lean, etc)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS Certification Preferred
  • Deltek Costpoint and SAP experience preferred
  • Experience in a Composite Manufacturing Environment is Strong Desired
  • Experience with both Low Rate (Job Shop Style) R&D and Production, as well as High Rate Established & Start-up Programs is Strongly Desired
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering
  • Has a current active DOD Secret Security Clearance

Salary Range: $65,800 USD - $98,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $81,600 USD - $122,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
