Northrop Grumman, Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for a Training Representative to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, California.

Essential functions consist of:

  • Maintaining the LX Training Center database

  • Scheduling classes in LX system

  • Creating Class rosters

  • Closing out rosters and updating personnel

  • Coordinating classes and disputes with the Area Coordinators and Managers

  • Maintaining Course Catalog

  • Maintaining Cert code/Specification cross reference report.

  • Archiving Training Records

  • Perform additional duties as needed in the Training Center/Documentation Section

  • The successful candidate will be a vital member of the Training Center team and perform in at least an administrative leadership role, which by nature of the position involves contacts with personnel from manufacturing and quality. A successful candidate will:

  • Exercise good judgment while demonstrating flexibility and agility, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, managing schedule conflicts, and providing excellent follow-through

  • Possess outstanding verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Be able to protect and maintain confidentiality

  • Possess attention to detail

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree plus 3 years of Aerospace, Defense or Technical experience OR High School Diploma / G.E.D plus 7 year of Aerospace, Defense or Technical experience

  • Familiarity with training systems/programs

  • Ability and experience in analyzing, designing and developing publications and training materials

  • Microsoft Office, technical writing and strong verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the LX training database cert records

  • Experience with entering/maintaining database.

  • Previous experience in providing training in assy

  • Must be customer-oriented team player, able to productively interact with staff members in a team

  • Research, analyze and author training documents, contingency plans, instructions, lesson plans, and other training

  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills

  • Bachelors Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)


Salary Range: $61,900 USD - $92,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
