Are you ready to join Northrop Grumman? If so, put your experience to work as a member of the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) technical field support staff. The position supports the US Army IBCS System of Systems (SoS), which is a ground transportable, tactical integrated air and missile defense command and control system. Put your experience to work as a Sr. Principal Systems Administrator to assist with the implementation and execution of worldwide field operations supporting the US Army customer foreign military sales case, Poland.

This position is located in Huntsville, Alabama with possible relocation or extended travel to Poland for equipment fielding or technical support. The Sr. Principal Systems Administrator role requires approved security certification and an approved Operating System (OS) certification within six months from the date of assignment to IA/IT roles.

Duties includes:

  • Administration of classified and unclassified systems within strict security policies and procedures in both lab and field environments

  • Troubleshooting and supporting first level customer support in both field and lab environments

  • Implementation and administration of system requirements on both Linux (RHEL 7) and Windows (10) Operating environments

  • Performing technical research leading to viable solutions for system

  • Implementing accurate, detailed technical procedures & integration plans

  • Understanding & implementing computer lab requirements

  • Maintaining technical expertise in all areas of IBCS SoS (network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, etc.)

Basic Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelors with 8 Years of experience; Masters with 5 years of experience & 2 years w/PhD. or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree

  • Excellent understanding of network communication products including router, switches, and firewalls etc.

  • VMware and ESXi (6.x or higher) configuration and management experience

  • Windows 10 administration experience

  • Linux RedHat (RHEL 7) administration experience

  • GEM Software administration experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and leadership

  • Ability to install and uninstall (lift) devices weighing 35 pounds

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work well in a fast-paced agile environment

  • Experience with IBCS system architecture

  • Experience with Air and Missile Defense Systems tactical operations

Experience administering System of Systems architecture


Salary Range: $103,900 USD - $155,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
