The primary role of the Manufacturing Engineer Technician is to provide technical support to the manufacturing Engineering team. 

The ME Technician will use the technical skills to help Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) improve the operational effectiveness of the Advanced Weapons unit. This individual works closely with Manufacturing Engineers, and Operations stakeholders. This individual will support the AARGM-ER and AARGM program in our Ridgecrest California facility.

Responsibilities:

The ME Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the tasks outlined below:

  • Provides the routings and work instructions for products.
  • Develops and communicates standard times.
  • Provides training and guidance to assemblers, inspectors, and to a lesser degree technicians.
  • Order tools for the production floor
  • Supports the production team to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Assist with floor plans and any other continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Solve routine technical problems
  • Work to stand process and procedure
  • Ensure adherence to safety rules and practices
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance

Requirements:

  • High School Education
  • Able to use CostPoint MRP to create routings
  • Able to navigate through basic computer software that supports production planning
  • Self-starter
  • Must have experience with MS Office software applications
  • Electro-Mechanical Knowledge
  • Preferred an individual with experience using Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) Software for routings of manufacturing orders
  • Must have active secret clearance

Salary Range: $54,500 USD - $90,900 USD
Salary Range 2: $64,900 USD - $108,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
