Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Expeditor to join our Manufacturing team in Buffalo, NY.  The Expeditor serves as the primary interface on the manufacturing floor working with manufacturing leads, assemblers, test technicians, stockroom personnel, production planning, operations program managers (OPM) and quality inspectors.  He/she will  expedite manufacturing orders on the manufacturing floor.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Expedite, route, and dispatch manufacturing product, materials and parts to the manufacturing areas you support
  • Prioritize and organize work on the manufacturing floor and create manufacturing travelers, which track the progress of materials 
  • Communicate with internal customers to provide and obtain status for manufacturing hardware
  • Process damaged material (non-conformances) and disposition to the appropriate area
  • Review and manage workload based on daily huddles, weekly production schedules and feedback from manufacturing leads and Operation Program Managers

You will thrive in this position if you have strong administrative organization skills; computer skills including experience in MS Word and MS Excel; effective communication skills and a continuous sense of urgency throughout the day to assure all tasks are achieved in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 months of experience multitasking in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to frequently move and position/reposition objects weighing up to 50lbs
  • Ability to move between 2 Buffalo Northrop Grumman locations
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously to meet strict deadlines.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time with or without accommodation.
  • U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of electronic manufacturing experience
  • Experience utilizing an ERP or MRP system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Willingness to work overtime


Salary Range: $33,300 USD - $55,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
