Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Weekend Test Conductor to join our Systems Engineering team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will start as a Weekday 1st shift position for approximately 6 months for training then will transition to be for Weekend Support (3-12 shift), located in Clearfield, UT.

Our new teammate will have multiple responsibilities including: ensure engineering tests serve mission objectives and mechanisms are in place to execute the tests; testing all customer samples; overseeing the operational aspects of engineering tests and serves as liaison to program, engineering and line management. Reviewing status of test requirements, manages schedules and prepares reports. Selecting and supervising technicians during test. Assessing anomalies and developing resolutions to documented procedures in conjunction with Test and Quality Engineering.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Communicate with program and Engineering leadership and customer support about test results and corrective actions
  • Provide input to leadership with respect to testing equipment, resources and facility needs in support of business growth and new opportunities
  • Oversee the operational aspects of engineering tests and serve as liaison to Engineering and Line Management
  • Lead a dedicated team to conduct special testing of composite components
  • Be involved with root cause and corrective action evaluations
  • May require occasional travel to other regional locations

This position may be filled as a Level 1 or Level 2 Test Conductor based on the qualifications outlined below.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications Test Conductor 1: 

  • 0 years of experience with Bachelor of Science degree in STEM or 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
  • A current DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain higher level access
  • Willingness and ability to learn and be trained in new technical areas
  • Understanding of RF testing and composite structures

Basic Qualifications Test Conductor 2:

  • 2 years of experience with Bachelor of Science degree in STEM or 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
  • A current DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain higher level access
  • Willingness and ability to learn and be trained in new technical areas
  • Understanding of RF testing and composite structures
  • Solid understanding of basic Physics and Engineering Principles and the ability to apply those to analysis and practical problem solving

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Physics related discipline
  • DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience in developing, designing and implementing test procedures
  • Direct experience with Electrical and/or RF Testing
  • Experience with Design and/or Manufacturing approaches for composite structures
  • Experience working effectively with members of other disciplines
  • Willingness to occasionally work off hours or weekday shifts

Salary Range: $53,500 USD - $80,300 USD
Salary Range 2: $64,600 USD - $97,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
