Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Chemical Analysis Technician to join its organization. This position is located in Linthicum, Maryland.

Job Description:

This position will support the process control lab and assist engineers in the facility in the chemical analysis of materials used in a variety of manufacturing processes and make recommendations based upon results.  Perform plating operations as required per engineering and/or higher level manufacturing technician’s direction.

Set up and run a variety of advanced analytical process equipment used in chemical analysis

Collect and analyze SPC data and make recommendations for process adjustments to ensure specifications are being met.

Analyze materials used in the plating process, such as electroless copper, electrolytic copper, tin lead, etc.

Provide technical assistance to engineering and higher-level manufacturing technicians for the development and processing of materials, techniques, and the like.

Assist engineering and higher-level manufacturing technicians in the development of Work Instructions, Process Specifications and Manufacturing Procedures and the like, used in the manufacturing processes.

This is a 2nd shift position

Basic Qualifications:

Completion of 30 college credits (equivalent to 1 year) within the Chemistry or Physics discipline/major, with minimum of 12 college credits in Chemistry/Physics having been completed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a manufacturing and/or laboratory environment
