Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Supply Chain Project Management Specialist – Level 3 or 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

Openings in; San Diego, CA, Redondo Beach, CA & Melbourne, FL.

Essential Functions of the role:

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Basic Qualifications (for a Level 3):

  • 10 years of experience with a HS diploma, 6 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 4 years of experience with a master’s degree. Experience must be in Project Management.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite with an emphasis on Word, Excel and Power Point.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance and Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting).

Basic Qualifications (for a Level 4):

  • 14 years of experience with a HS diploma, 10 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 8 years of experience with a master’s degree. Experience must be in Project Management.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite with an emphasis on Word, Excel and Power Point.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance and Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Global Supply Chain organization.

  • The ability to utilize various management control software such as SAP and Microsoft Project.

  • Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM), ideally Control Account Manager (CAM) Certified within last two years.

  • Experience providing financial and business support.

  • Project/Program Management Certifications.

  • SharePoint workflow or other collaboration site design/development.

  • Process mapping and process improvement experience.

This position reports to San Diego, CA, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 2 locations listed above.


Salary Range: $68,100 USD - $102,100 USD
Salary Range 2: $72,400 USD - $125,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
