Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is currently seeking a Project Management 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals to support the Advanced Weapons Business Unit. This position will be located with our team in Northridge, CA. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well-organized, reliable and detail oriented.

This position requires that the selected candidate work on-site in Northridge, CA. Remote work is not available for this position. This position will work a 4/10 schedule: Monday – Thursday (10 hours/day) with each Friday off.

Job Responsibilities:

* Oversee and support the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams, and line management

* Compile data, following up on pending details, and ensuring project timelines are met

* Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

* Compile, generate, and evaluate reports and presentations

* Develop and deliver presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders

* Lead the planning and implementation of process improvement projects.

* Update and ensure accuracy of business unit organization charts using PowerPoint

* Review drafts and finished documents for accuracy and completeness

* Help facilitate and coordinate employee onboarding, including organizing orientation packets

* Help plan and organize event planning and employee engagement activities

* Provide support on ad-hoc projects as needed

* Maintain strict confidentiality of information

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant/related experience. Will consider a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of relevant/related experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft 365 and Teams, and Outlook
  • Experience with SharePoint Development
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management
  • Proven experience with process improvements and strategic planning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to multi-task with competing priorities in a positive manner
  • Possess high level of organization and planning skills
  • Ability to create presentations, defining problems, and solutions intended for senior level stakeholders
  • Ability to complete a wide variety of projects with minimal supervision


Salary Range: $68,100 USD - $102,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
