Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Project Management. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. 

What You’ll Get To Do: 

Project Management position involves managing and overseeing the operational aspects of ongoing Sentinel GBSD program Support Equipment (SE) projects. Serves as liaison between project engineers, internal and external organizations such as Global Supply Chain (GSC), suppliers and management team. Liaises with GSC and suppliers to understand and resolve technical engineering issues associated with delivery of SE hardware.

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide financial control and maintenance of budgets including EVMS indices and Variance Explanations as a member of the Control Account Manager team. 
  • Proficient and knowledgeable in managing labor and material dollars across multiple contracts for Support Equipment EVMS weekly and monthly deliverables. General understanding of Cost and Material accounting including knowledge of General Ledger accounts, Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders, networks and Material Master is preferred.
  • Prepare and manage schedules and prepare status reports on the health of the projects.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and coordinate with project teams to mitigate and retire risks.
  • Develop and maintain SE proposals to include reviewing & updating Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW), preparing Basis of Estimates (BOEs), performing quality checks on all proposal submittals, attending proposal related reviews.
  • Evaluate issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Prepare heading check executive level briefings for management and develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and tools for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers. Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, work autonomously under general direction and will demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Job Qualifications: 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 3 Years of experience with Bachelor’s degree; 1 Year with Masters.  4 years additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance is required.
  • Must have excellent technical writing and Microsoft application skills. 
  • Good verbal and interpersonal skills required to work closely with teammates, stakeholders and both internal and external customers.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Program management, operations or cost estimating experience.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

Salary Range: $60,600 USD - $90,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
