Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services has an opening for a Cyber Systems Administrator 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain program access prior to commencement of employment.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates with network administrators and program security to maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems (on Windows and Linux) including performance tuning, installing system-wide software, and scaling environments to meet program needs.

  • Ensures systems adhere to program configuration and data management plans

  • Performs software maintenance including but not limited to upgrades, patches, and configuration control

  • Aide the assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy

  • Assists in the creation of program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems

  • Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards

  • Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of cyber and/or systems administration experience OR Master’s Degree and 0 years of cyber and/or systems administration experience

  • Prior experience managing or configuring information security tools.  Namely experience at least one of the following: Splunk, Nexus, McAfee

  • Previous cybersecurity, Information Assurance experience, and/or system administration experience

  • Current DoD Secret in security clearance with SSBI within the last 6 years

  • DoD 8570

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Systems Administration experience in Window and/or RHEL environments

  • Experience configuring, operating, monitoring, maintaining, and administering computer systems, patch deployment and management systems, or virtual environments for servers and workstations

  • Experience writing scripts (i.e. Batch, Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate routine task

  • Current DoD 8570 Certification exceeding IAT Level 2

  • Current DoD Top Secret security clearance

  • Current SAP program access


Salary Range: $71,500 USD - $107,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
