Northrop Grumman Space Strategic Systems Division is seeking a Staff Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Planning, Logistics, and Infrastructure organization. The position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Prepare/and release Make requirements.

·       Analyze Material Requirements Planning (MRP) recommendations and exception messages within SAP.

·       Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between engineering, planning, and sub-project managers.  

·       Able to schedule and plan detailed operations from engineering drawings, engineering orders, change notices, and other engineering releases.

·       Ensure Bill-of Materials (BOM) is accurate before releasing to the production shop floor.

·       Analyze manufacturing, enterprise resource planning, and other material requirements based on needs of assembly demands, component replenishments, substitute parts or materials, production set ups, and engineering changes.

·       Run reports and provide program status to provide visibility to stakeholders.

·       Coordinate project closeout activities.

·       Receives and reviews requirements for non-standard parts, assesses and addresses the schedule impact of design revisions, and communicates material position as it relates to production forecasts.

·       Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using MRP.

·       Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent BOM requirements.

·       Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs.

·       The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum 13 years of experience in Supply Chain, Project Management or in a Production environment OR Masters Degree plus a minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Project Management or in a Production environment.

·       Knowledge of SAP and MES systems

·       Ability to obtain and maintain government DoD Top Secret Clearance and/or SCI access.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Master's degree in Business/ Supply Chain.

·       Knowledge of Supply Chain principles strongly preferred.

·       Experience in SAP/MES Systems.

·       APICS Certification.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

·       Active DoD and/or SCI Clearance.


Salary Range: $132,700 USD - $199,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
