Northrop Grumman’s Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) division, Spacecraft Components is a leading designer, producer, and supplier of spacecraft components that power and enable satellites of all classes. Products include spacecraft panels, bus structures, precision optical structures, deployable structural systems and mechanisms, solar arrays, and antenna reflectors. Our products are on virtually every U.S. satellite built in the last 20 years.

Our Deployables Team is currently seeking Engineering Technicians to work with our Industrial engineering team to support Continuous Improvement efforts at our Oxnard facilities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Performs hands on activities/tasks associated various continuous improvement projects.

  • Receiving, storing, tracking, and organizing tools within toolbox.

  • Establishing 5S systems for organizing spaces so work can be performed efficiently, effectively, and safely

  • Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost and scheduling of their team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Reads and follows blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions

  • Able to read, comprehend and follow established written instructions without deviation

  • Must have working knowledge of lean initiatives

  • Must be willing to work overtime as required

  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio

  • Aerospace Manufacturing Industry experience

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with others

  • Good analytic skills

  • Good understanding of Lean Principals

  • Good analytic skills

Salary Range: $50,000 USD - $83,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
