SSSD has an opening for an Electronic Technician 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, CA.

The selected candidate will primarily support test and checkout of flight level electronic hardware, in a production environment. The candidate’s initial assignment will be in support of various Programs, Processing Power and Digital Electronics.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform test and checkout of assembly, circuit card, slice, and unit level hardware

  • May require test of experimental design circuitry, prototype models, or specialized test equipment

  • Must be able to work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal direction, layouts, or defined test plans

  • Should be capable of conducting tests and collecting data, using standard test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DVMs, and signal generators.

  • Should be able to work various shifts

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.  Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, test engineers, and various technicians.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 year’s related experience.

  • Formal training in Electronic Technology or equivalent to 2 years technical trade school or military technical school.

  • Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain DoD Secret, and SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be well versed in RF Power and Digital testing

  • Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain DoD Secret, and SCI clearance

  • Thorough Knowledge of Solumina, and the ability to process Discrepancy Reports, in order to facilitate hardware troubleshooting activities

This position reports to Manhattan Beach, CA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Redondo Beach, CA, CA, USA.


Salary Range: $51,800 USD - $86,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
