Configuration Management/Engineering Liaison
Job Description
Represents the configuration and data management function managing engineering administrative matters. Recommends, interprets, and/or implements configuration management and engineering company and internal administrative policies and procedures. Performs a combination of configuration and data management administrative tasks for the mechanical, electrical, and special test equipment engineering functions as required.
NGDS is looking for a Configuration Management/Engineering Liaison to assist Engineering with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) System support.
- Assist document authors with document creation within the PLM System
- Assisting Engineers with creation of Change Request and Change Notices
- Review metadata and items within the PLM System for completeness as required
- Respond to PLM Break/Fix tickets
- Provide PLM navigation tutorials
- Assist document authors in the upload of documents to the PLM System
- Assist document authors in establishing the correct relationships within the PLM System
- Assist with Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) part creation in MRP/ERP System
- Interpret PLM error messages and assist document authors in resolving
Basic Qualifications (Level 2):
- High school diploma/GED and a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience. Will consider a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 1 years of relevant experience.
- Experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirements
- Candidate must have solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with other functional organizations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance within a timeframe set forth by management. US Citizenship required
Basic Qualifications (Level 3):
- High school diploma/GED and a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience. Will consider a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirements
- Candidate must have solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with other functional organizations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance within a timeframe set forth by management. US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance Secret (or higher)
- Working knowledge of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61A
- Experience working in a configuration management product life cycle system (i.e., Agile PLM, Teamcenter, CMPro, etc.)
- Working knowledge and understanding of engineering documentation (i.e., models, drawings, specifications, parts, change notices, manufacturing plans, and manufacturing procedures)
- Experience in military, government, commercial aerospace industry (e.g., aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations, or commercial industrial technology companies)
- Experience working in an Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System (i.e., Deltek, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
