Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer to be part of Northrop Grumman’s Learning and Communications Solutions (LCS) team. LCS is made up of a diverse talent pool of innovators, task leaders, instructional designers, software engineers, multimedia developers, user experience (UX) designers, graphic designers, 3D artists, videographers, writers, and other creative professionals who create innovative solutions for a variety of customers.

The desired individual will have experience with the design and development of mobile and web applications, interactive games, and mixed reality experiences; and research, development, and implementation of new methods to solve customer challenges. This position is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but remote work would be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop interactive web-based applications using modern technology stacks
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and implement software code for existing and newly developed systems
  • Analyze business requirements, research potential tools and approaches, and recommend innovative, cost-effective solutions
  • Design and develop the back-end for a wide range of web-based applications
  • Learn new programing languages and software skills required to fulfill program goals
  • Work with multiple clients, project leads, and subject matter experts to assess customer requirements and ensure milestones are achieved on schedule

This requisition is open to considering candidates at either a level 2 or level 3

Job Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 2: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in software engineering, computer science, web development, or other related field with 3 or more years of experience OR Master's degree with 1 year of experience OR 6 or more years of related industry experience with high school diploma and/or Associate’s Degree
  • Level 3: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in software engineering, computer science, web development, or other related field with 6 or more years of experience OR Master's degree with 4 years of experience OR 10 or more years of related industry experience with high school diploma and/or Associate’s Degree
  • 3 or more years of experience with software development, and web-based technology
  • Preferred location: Albuquerque, New Mexico; Remote work would be considered for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience programming in Node, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#, and .NET applications
  • Experience programming with front-end development frameworks, including Angular and React
  • Experience with front-end web design, including HTML, CSS, SASS/LESS, Material Design, and Bootstrap
  • Experience with modern software development processes, including DevOps-CI/CD, containerization (Docker), unit testing, cloud deployment (AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, and microservice architecture
  • Database design and development, including SQL-based, and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Server OS
  • Experience developing interactive online games and mixed reality experiences is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience using Agile (Scrum and/or Kanban) methods to develop complex projects
  • Expertise in research and development of creative solutions to complex information technology challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain a DoD (Department of Defense) Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $71,100 USD - $106,700 USD
Salary Range 2: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
