Northrop Grumman Australia partners the Royal Australian Air Force to provide through-life support for its fleet of KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft located at RAAF Base Amberley. The KC-30A tanker is used to deliver the air-to-air refuelling capability for both the RAAF and coalition assets as a trusted and proven force multiplier.

Due to internal movement, we are now recruiting for a Technical Publications Officer to join our KC-30A program. The Technical Publications Officer will assist the Publications Lead with the management of the Maintenance and Operational Publication suites, supporting Military Type Certificate Holder (MTCH) and Military Air Operator (MAO).

In executing this role, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and amendment of Technical Publications and Technical Publications Management Systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide solutions to Defence ‘Orders, Instructions, and Publications’, updates to support Engineering Operations and the KC-30A Enterprise
• Maintain and amend the KC-30A Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals, Enhanced Operational OIP Suite and Aircraft Flight Manual, and other Publications within the Technical Library.
• Process review of changes and affected Local Amendments / Supplements (e.g. EOs, IMIs and OIP TRs) during Quarterly Planned Revisions and Unplanned Revisions of the Maintenance and Operational Publications suites.
• Process incorporation of new and updated Local Amendments / Supplements into the IETM Airline Comments and other Manuals, and assist with distribution in alignment within prescribed timeframes.
• Process insertion of KC-30A Part 145 Maintenance Organisation requested data
• Monitor, and maintain records of all Supplemental Operational Information and Instructions.
• Furnish Quick Reference Handbooks to the Operators
• Process updates in accordance with Defence and Enterprise processes.
• Engage with other areas across the KC-30A program to identify improvement opportunities
• Provide regular communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

• Relevant industry experience in Technical Publications.
• Knowledge of all types of aviation Technical Publications, all facets of Operational and Maintenance publications suites.
• Highly developed communication skills at all levels of the company.

Desired:

• Technical Background (Avionics, Electrical, Structural or Mechanical Systems)
• Experience in Configuration Management processes.
• Knowledge of relevant DASA regulations and the importance of maintaining compliance.
