Northrop Grumman's Sensing & Secure Solutions Operating Unit is actively seeking a talented System Engineering expert to join a newly awarded, Northrop Grumman primed program. This position's work location is in Annapolis Junction Maryland and is part of the Mission Systems Sector within Northrop Grumman. The new team member will be designing and developing new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer's enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. We are seeking a person who is capable of being responsible for System design efforts, mentoring junior engineers, and demonstrating knowledge/experience of the latest System Engineering techniques to model system design driving Software Development efforts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Leads the Systems Engineering team in establishing and maintaining the requirements baseline for the device and the allocation of those requirements to the appropriate components of the device architecture and to the appropriate test and certification activities.

• Responsible for establishing and maintaining the requirements tracking database.

• Oversees definition and documentation of the device interfaces.

• Manages and oversees development of systems engineering CDRLs, including the Software/Hardware Requirement Specification (SHRS) (CDRL A013), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (CDRL A031), and Interface Control Document (ICD) – The Interface and Operators Guide (ICD/OG) (CDRL A037).

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

• Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

• Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

• A current and active Secret Clearance

• BS in CS or EE related discipline

• Minimum of 14 years of software, hardware and/or embedded experience with emphasis on secure cryptographic device development

• Requirement’s development and traceability experience

• System/Subsystem design and development experience

• Technical project management to meet schedule within costs

• Knowledge of embedded processing architectures and design (FPGA)

• Agile development methodology (e.g., Altassian Tools)

• Knowledge of cryptographic certification process

• Test infrastructure design, verification and validation of hardware/software to meet IA certification requirements

• Linux and Windows experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS in Computer Science/Engineering

• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain Polygraph

• Model Based System Engineering experience (e.g., Cameo, SysML)

• Knowledge of embedded software toolsets (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus) and programming (VHDL/Verilog)

• Knowledge of Anti-Tamper requirements

• Knowledge of current and post-quantum resistant cryptographic algorithms

Salary Range: $1 USD - $1 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
