Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking an Operating Unit Contracts Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.. The Operating Unit Contracts Manager will provide contractual strategy leadership, as well as manage all contract administration efforts for the Survivability Development Programs (SDP) Operating Unit. The SDP OU has a varied portfolio of contract types for multiple customers. This position reports to the Manager of Contracts within the Aircraft Survivability Business Unit. Responsibilities include: Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material and services, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; progress and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. Supports the development of contract professionals and serves as the Operating Unit Contract representation with our customers. This position will be located in Apopka, FL and we will consider a hybrid work schedule for the right candidate.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 6+ years or a Master’s degree with 4+ years and 3+ years of relevant Contracts experience or 10+ years of relevant Contracts experience in lieu of the degree

Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve contract objectives

Demonstrated success within leadership roles

Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS

Knowledge and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite of Applications

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with DoD and intelligence agencies

Knowledge and proficiency using SAP

Active TS/SCI Clearance within the Intelligence Community

Proven leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to mentor and train assigned staff

Solid proposal development and negotiation skills and the ability to build strong customer relations

Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management


Salary Range: $102,500 USD - $153,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
