Northrop Grumman Payload & Ground Systems has an opening for a Principal (Level 3) Special Test Equipment Electronics Engineer, to join our team of diverse qualified individuals in Azusa, CA. This position will report to our Hardware Engineering team, working under our strategic force programs.

Put your years of experience into a future of excellence.  The successful applicant will perform design and development of Special Test Equipment, STE required for multiple space programs.  The position requires working with multi-discipline functions in a team environment to ensure that the product meets requirements.   Specific assignments include deriving requirements, performing design, test and certification for various types of Special Test Equipment for use in space programs.  Task will include software development using LabVIEW for control and data collection. Task may also include trade studies, and troubleshooting to support anomaly resolution during system integration and test.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field & 5 years of related special test equipment electronics engineering experience, OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM field & 3 years of related special test equipment electronics engineering experience
  • Experience in the design, development, test, and certification of special test equipment
  • Use of LabView or other software tools for control and data collection of special test equipment
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD secret security clearance (US Citizenship Required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an electronics field
  • 6+ years of related experience
  • Proficiency with excel of other analysis tool for collecting and analyzing test data
  • Current & active DoD security clearance

Salary Range: 101400 - 152200

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
