Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector is seeking experienced Sr. Principal Software (I&T) Engineers (level 4), to join our diverse team, working software Test and Integration for Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) satellite ground systems or for payload data processing and support. This position will be located in Azusa, CA.   (Performance Objectives):   In this role, the selected candidate can expect: ·    Communicate and work effectively with team members in an agile and dynamic team environment, while possessing excellent written & oral communication skills ·    Lead project tasks with minimal guidance providing oversight to junior team members ·    Test and integrate software written in various computer languages such as C++ and  Python. ·    Meet project milestones while ensuring software test standards are met ·    Assist with root cause analysis of software bugs ·    Develop subject matter expertise in critical areas of the software system ·    Interface with other groups and subject matter experts within and outside of the project ·    Participate in the day-to-day support of the program in resolving critical/urgent program/technical issues·   Maintain the test environment, security posture, and work with System Administrators to diagnose network issues.·   Help developers setup the appropriate environment to help recreate issues and prove problems are resolved after fixes are implemented. Basic Qualifications: 
·    Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) & 9 years of related experience, OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM field & 7 years of related experience ·    Strong analytical skills to decompose requirements, determine test methods, & assess performance test data ·    Extensive experience writing requirements verification plans, test plan & procedures, and analyzing requirements for testability ·    Experience in working with MS Office, Linux, & AIX platforms ·    Proficiency in software configuration management and version controls such as ClearCase, ClearQuest, & Git ·    Proficiency in agile development concepts, methodologies and tools such as JIRA ·    Current & valid DoD secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications: 
·    Master’s Degree in a STEM field ·    Experience with scripting & automating tests ·    Demonstrated ability to implement process improvement, streamline activities, and develop efficiencies ·    Current TS/SCI security clearance
