You craft and execute strategies that result in sustainable value creation that delivers measurable results.   If this is YOU…keep reading!   Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector, Military & Civil Space Systems Division in Azusa CA, is seeking a qualified Systems Engineering (SE) Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for a new infrared payload design and development program.     The IPT lead is responsible for cost, schedule, technical performance, and maintaining a full and capable staff.  It includes executing on existing contracts (driving requirements and verification, data analysis, trade studies, etc.) and supporting new business through proposals for contract extensions, additions, studies, and similar efforts related to the IPT scope.  The projected staff in the IPT will range between seven to ten systems engineers over the course of preparing for successful system, preliminary, and critical design reviews. The SE IPT Lead is responsible for executing the overall systems engineering effort on the program, directing the execution of all systems engineering activities, horizontal and vertical technical integration, ensuring the integrity of the systems engineering processes, and timely development and release of systems engineering work products.  The SE IPT Lead interfaces with the program manager, chief engineer, other product team leads and the customer.   In addition to the IPT duties, the selected candidate will have Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsibility including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), budget allocation, schedule management, and status reporting to management on a regular basis with internal stakeholders and customers.  The candidate may be required to travel in support of customer coordination and technical interchange meetings as needed.  Must possess ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.   Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business needs. Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
  • 5 years of leadership experience in a related technical engineering STEM field
  • Knowledge and experience in Systems Engineering for Space Programs
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes and methods
  • Experience as a CAM and IPT Lead 
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance 

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Master's degree in a STEM field
  • Proven effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to lead and influence a high performance team
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
