As an Associate Supply Chain Planning Specialist for the AMS division, you join a team dedicated to supporting the Tactical Fighter’s Business unit. The team works on not only the production of the F-35 Radar but also Advanced Tactical Programs. In this role, you will oversee and manage the global supply chain/operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as a liaison between project management, planning, engineering and GSC. You will assess program issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. This position is in Baltimore, MD with an opportunity to telecommute a couple days a week.

The Planning Specialist (Band 1 / Band 2) responsibilities will encompass:

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring program progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, GSC managers, and customers.
  • Works closely with Program Management and Supply Chain Management to ensure supplier quotes comply with requirements.          
  • Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard part, projects and services.  Researches and critically analyzes large volumes of data using spreadsheet and data mining skills to isolate and prioritize key data.
  • Summarizes and presents detailed information in internal management reviews and customer fact-finding meetings.

In this role, you will make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.  You will have the opportunity to participate in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs. Support proposal activities on both current product lines and new development efforts. Creates/releases requisitions. Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts. Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.

Basic Qualifications: A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria.

Band 1 – Associate Supply Chain Planning: The candidate must possess:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • 0+ years of professional experience in supply chain management, or related fields, to include logistics, manufacturing/ project management, business management, or information systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Band 2 - Supply Chain Planning: The candidate must possess:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years with Bachelor’s or 1+ years with Master’s of professional experience in supply chain management, or related fields, to include logistics, manufacturing/ project management, business management, or information systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications
  • SAP experience

    Salary Range: $52,700 USD - $79,100 USD
    Salary Range 2: $64,400 USD - $96,600 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
