The Manufacturing organization is looking for a motivated leader to fill the role of the Final Assembly Cell Supply Chain Manager.  The Manager will be responsible to manage a team of Supply Chain Planners and the supply chain and material operations in specific manufacturing cells throughout the Baltimore factory.  This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing team that has been integrating Supply Chain practices and disciplines into the factory and manufacturing processes.  The manager will oversee supplier and quality issues impacting their factory area, work with cross-functional departments to mitigate delivery and quality risks, and improve GSC processes, and build a cross functional lean operation.  The candidate should have the ability to lead and motivate a team to drive positive results.  An understanding of SCM principles is required - materials management, procurement, subcontracts, cost budgets, supplier quality, production, and logistics.  The position will require employee goal setting, performance reviews, and merit planning.  Strategic thinking to mitigate risks, improve costs, and gain efficiencies between various programs and functions across the Operations organization is required.  The candidate must possess the ability to manage a group of diverse skills and the ability to support and influence them to achieve organizational and program goals.  Exceptional writing skills, and the ability to present to the executive level are required. This position will be worked out of our Baltimore, MD facility.

Basic Quals:

Bachelor’s Degree with at least nine (9+) years of experience in Supply Chain, Production Control, Operations, Logistics, Business Management, or Project Management.

3+ years of team lead or direct management of employees.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and SAP.

US Citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP

Demonstrated leadership success and ability to influence direct reports, interact with peers and all levels of management in the organization

Preferred Quals:

Six Sigma training or Greenbelt Certified

Experience with SAP and MRP modules

Experience working in a manufacturing work environment


Salary Range: $113,200 USD - $169,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
