Enterprise Services is looking for a Tax Accountant.

This role will allow for some telework, but eligible candidates must be located near Northrop Grumman's Irving, TX or Bloomington, MN office.

Role & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide feedback to the team based on feedback loop and Customer Satisfaction survey
  • Respond to inquiries from employees within Service Level Agreements
  • Ad hoc query request
  • Manage and create audit reports
  • Perform Tax balance and 221 adjustments based on request
  • Reconciliation and monitoring of Payroll Tax activity quarterly and annually as assigned
  • W-2 and W-2C processing
  • Payroll Tax Notice and refund check monitoring and processing
  • Post monthly NQD and annual LTI (RSR, RPSR, CU, CPU) options
  • Support PA I-IV with complex payroll Tax inquiries and processing
  • Perform quality audits and validations


The right candidate will posses the following characteristics/skills:

  • Problem-solving; organizing and prioritizing work demands in order to meet critical deadlines
  • Well developed organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with little direction in day-to-day functional responsibilities of the position
     

Basic Qualifications - to be considered for this position you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:

  • 3 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field OR 1 year of experience with Masters degree in Finance, Accounting or related field OR High school diploma & 4 years of related experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional Certification [1 year completion from hire date requirement]
  • Local to our Bloomington, MN or Irving, TX office (this role will offer hybrid telework, not full time remote)
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite (excel, word, and PowerPoint)
  • 3-8 years of payroll/Tax processing experience including relevant regulatory requirements; internal policy and procedure; accounting practices; system software requirements
  • Must be able to critically apply knowledge of FLSA, federal and state laws, etc.
  • Experience working with multi-state locations
  • Operating a personal computer including standard software and some specialized accounting software
     

Preferred Qualifications - candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:  

  • Certified Payroll Professional Certification CPP
  • SAP/Workday/ADP experience
  • Prior experience working in a shared service or center of excellence environment

Salary Range: $65,000 USD - $97,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
