Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Level 3 Principal Proposal Analyst or a level 4 Sr Principal Proposal Analyst to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals! This position will be located in on site in Palmdale, CA or San Diego, CA.
Essential Functions:
Develops, plans and schedules proposals
- Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications
- Ensuring compliance with Customer, FAR, and NGAS Estimating System Regulatory Requirements
- Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments.
- Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts
- Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings
- Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives
- Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team
- Use of MS Office exincluding PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel with Pivot tables and V-Look ups
- Present and brief pricing, cost issues and risks to senior and executive leadership
This requisition may be filled as either a level 3 Principal Proposal Analyst or a level 4 Sr Principal Proposal Analyst.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Proposal Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree with 6 years of pricing/estimating, finance, contracts, proposals, and/or business-related experience, OR a Master's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience
- Must have an active Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain program access and Top Secret Clearance prior to starting
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word
Basic Qualifications for a Sr Principal Proposal Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree with 10 years of pricing/estimating, finance, contracts, proposals, and/or business-related experience, OR a Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience
- Must have an active Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain program access and Top Secret Clearance prior to starting
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing and estimating concepts and principles
- Ability to work as an integral member of the Subcontract/Procurement team to achieve Global Supply Chain, Program, and/or NGAS objectives, while maintaining compliance during all stages of the proposal/acquisition process
- Ability to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment.
