Job Description
Responsible for daily coordination of Integrated Thermal Systems proposal activities.
Maintains opportunity trackers and ensures proactive communication with customers.
Coordination of pre-RFP activities including ROMs.
Develops, plans and schedules proposals (both external and IWO).
Tracks and manages Bid and Proposal budgets.
Hosts proposal kick-off’s and actively coordinates with all contributing team members to ensure on time delivery / responsiveness.
Compiles cost, programmatic, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications.
Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments.
Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts.
Coordinates with finance & pricing teams.
Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings.
Coordinates with contracts on extensions / exemptions / terms / Q&A / etc.
Review of inputs for adequacy in meeting RFP requirements / coordination with functional management to resolve discrepancies.
Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
Coordinates delegation activities with the Operating Unit, Business Unit, and with Division / Sector as required. Presents delegation packages.
Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.
Coordinates and maintains new business manpower demand forecasts to the functions (supports staffing decisions)
Present at weekly Operating Unit meetings and Monthly / Quarterly Business Unit reviews.
Direct report to the Site Director with dotted line report to the Business Unit Business Development Director.
Basic Qualifications
Ability to work and manage a proposal team independently with minimal direct supervision to produce high quality “management ready” packages.
Polished presenter and communicator.
5 years of relevant proposal/capture management experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 0 years of relevant experience with a PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Excellent internal and external team building skills including the ability to interface effectively cross-functionally (technical, finance, contracts, operations, supply chain, executive management, etc.)
Excellent technical writing and general composition skills
Excellent technical writing and general composition skills
Excellent organization skills (including technical, schedule, and financial data)
Full proficiency with MS Office
Assists with priority setting when conflicts are identified
Leads and participates in process improvement activities
Occasional travel required (<10%)
Available to work onsite.
