Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector, Networked Information Solutions Division, Secure Processing & Networks Business Unit (SPAN BU) is seeking a Contracts Manager 1 to join our team. This position will support the Network Operations Sustainment Support & Modernization (N-OSSM) Operating Unit within the SPAN Business Unit.
This position is located in San Diego, CA. May consider a hybrid teleworking arrangement for this role.
What You Will Get To Do:
This manager position will lead the N-OSSM OU contracts team of contract professionals to deliver strong customer satisfaction, successful financial performance and risk mitigation while ensuring proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer requirements. The successful candidate will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the OU Director, program managers, business management team, GSC, operations manager, engineering, and other functional teams supporting the N-OSSM OU.
Responsibilities of the N-OSSM OU Contracts Manager include:
Supporting proposal and negotiation efforts with existing customers
Training, leading, and mentoring a team of Contracts Professionals
Supporting Business Development in the shaping and capture of new business pursuits.
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
The N-OSSM OU Contracts Manager must possess the ability to work collaboratively with the Program team, effectively manage external customers, and provide guidance and direction based upon the requirements of the contracts. The successful candidate must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and be a strategic thinker.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ experience working in Contracts Administration or related field or 3 years with a Master’s degree
Demonstrated knowledge of Contracts Administration in a FAR/DFARS environment
Experience negotiating and administering various contract types of varying sizes and types of agreements
Strong proposal development skills, solid negotiation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Current DoD Secret clearance is Required
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in DoD contracting, prior experience with the USG and/or Major Defense Contractor customers
Demonstrated 1+ years of leadership or supervisor experience in the contracts field
Experience working development and manufacturing programs
Experience with OTA, CRADAs, and SBIRs
MBA or JD is a plus but not a requirement
Current Top Secret clearance
